Building Community Day By Day

Building Community Day By Day

Upon completion of this session, you will be able to lead your own morning meeting in your classroom. The Responsive Classroom Morning Meeting model "is an engaging way to start each day, build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically." Participants will become familiar with each component of Morning Meeting: greeting, sharing, activity, morning message/news and announcements. Participants will be energized and inspired to create a welcoming community within your classroom. This course will be split into 4 sessions. The first session will be more of an overview and the following sessions will provide more in-depth study of the Morning Meeting components. Each session will include an actual Morning Meeting.

Participants' learning can be applied through use of this model in their own classrooms.
